Your diet has a direct effect on how you feel and nutrition is extremely important to your physical well-being.  A special chronic fatigue diet may be in order if you suffer from this condition.  If you eat a diet that is full of foods that are empty of nutritional value like deserts packaged foods and this will surely add to the discomfort of your condition.  Whole foods like fruits and vegetables, especially organic ones that are free from pesticides can help your body do its job more efficiently and free up more energy for you to feel better than alleviate the symptoms of your chronic fatigue.  In addition to fruits and vegetables getting enough protein in complex carbohydrates is important for the health and well-being of anyone, but especially someone who has disease.

On a baseline level, a chronic fatigue diet will be a diet that drastically increases the protein intake that a person ingests. Protein is commonly found in meats, poultry, beans and a host of other healthy foods. For those who still prefer to skip these foods, there is always the option of having a protein shake in order to supplement one’s protein intake.

This doesn't mean that you should just go out or do yourself a protein to try to relieve your symptoms.  Eating too much protein would not be a good chronic fatigue diet and in fact could be dangerous as it may overtax the kidneys and cause other problems for you.  But making sure you get enough protein, and protein that is of good quality - lower in fat and even organic can help alleviate the symptoms.

In order to arrive at a proper chronic fatigue diet option, it is highly advisable to seek a knowledgeable nutrition specialist who might be able to properly advise a patient as to what steps need to be taken to make the diet as effective as possible. Going it alone is not always a wise choice.
